The gap is not ability. It is access.
For decades, Black and Brown entrepreneurs have been underfunded and underserved, not under qualified. Blackprint Institute is how WBBN delivers the access our community has always deserved. Education built for us, rooted in our culture, focused on our future.
Education Built for Black and Brown Entrepreneurs
Blackprint Institute is the educational arm of the Waterbury Black Business Network. We design and deliver learning experiences that meet Black and Brown entrepreneurs where they are, then move them forward. From foundational business development to advanced strategy, our programs blend practical skill building with cultural relevance and community responsibility.

This is not a generic accelerator. Blackprint is built on the understanding that Black and Brown entrepreneurs navigate a business landscape that was not designed with us in mind. Every workshop, cohort, and resource is shaped by that reality.
Culturally Rooted
Every curriculum is designed by and for Black and Brown entrepreneurs, with instructors who understand the lived experience behind the business.
Practically Applied
We teach what works in the real world. No fluff, no filler. Just strategy, tools, and skills entrepreneurs can use the next morning.
Community Centered
Every participant leaves connected to a network of peers, mentors, and resources that continues long after the program ends.
What We Teach
Blackprint programs meet entrepreneurs at every stage of the journey.

The Blackprint Business Fellowship
A cohort for Black and Brown entrepreneurs ready to build businesses that last.

The Fellowship is Blackprint Institute's signature cohort program. Over the course of the program, a small group of Black and Brown entrepreneurs move through a structured curriculum built to strengthen the foundation, strategy, and sustainability of their businesses.Fellows receive education grounded in culturally relevant business practice, mentorship from operators who understand their journey, and a community of peers who will know their business long after the program ends. This is not a crash course. This is a foundation.
Applications open ahead of the Fall 2026 cohort. Visit the Fellowship page for full details, eligibility, and the application timeline.
