Jessica Ervin is the Founder and CEO of the Waterbury Black Business Network, Inc. (WBBN), an Entrepreneur Support Organization dedicated to advancing Black and Brown entrepreneurship across Greater Waterbury.
With a background in community engagement, workforce development, and strategic communications, Jessica has built WBBN into a trusted hub for entrepreneurs seeking access to resources, education, and meaningful connections. Her work is rooted in closing gaps in access by creating spaces where businesses are not only supported, but positioned to grow, collaborate, and lead.
Under her leadership, WBBN has launched impactful initiatives including business education workshops, community-based events, and the Blackprint Learning Institute, which equips entrepreneurs with the tools and strategy needed to build sustainable businesses. She is also the visionary behind CTRL+Black, a creative entrepreneurship convention centered on ownership, innovation, and cultural expression.
Jessica’s leadership is defined by her ability to translate community needs into structured, high-impact programming and partnerships. She continues to advocate for equitable investment in underserved business communities while building an ecosystem that prioritizes access, visibility, and long-term economic growth.
