WHO WE ARE
WBBN is a nonprofit Entrepreneur Support Organization building equitable access to resources, capital, and visibility for Black and Brown entrepreneurs in Greater Waterbury.

HOW WE BUILD THE ECOSYSTEM
Every program, event, and initiative at WBBN is organized across three bylaws-aligned pathways — with Access and Belonging woven through all of them.
Education
The Blackprint Learning Institute equips Black and Brown entrepreneurs with the tools, strategy, and financial literacy to build businesses that last.
The Blackprint Learning Institute is where knowledge meets strategy. Through the Blackprint Business Fellowship and community workshops, WBBN equips Black and Brown entrepreneurs with the tools, frameworks, and financial literacy they need to build businesses that last. Our education programming is designed for people who are already capable and ready for the resources to match.
Visibility
WBBN creates platforms that put entrepreneurs in front of the customers, partners, and communities they deserve — through events, expos, and signature convenings.

Capital
We connect entrepreneurs to funding opportunities, banking partnerships, and direct grants through the Kinfolk Fund — because access to capital is not optional.

Black Business Month in Waterbury
For the first time, Waterbury is proudly celebrating National Black Business Month with a citywide campaign dedicated to supporting, connecting, and investing in Black-owned businesses.
Throughout August, the Waterbury Black Business Network is bringing together entrepreneurs, community partners, and residents through networking events, educational workshops, leadership development, and opportunities to shop and support local businesses.
Our 2026 theme, Forward, Together, reflects our commitment to building a stronger, more connected business community where everyone has the opportunity to grow.
Join us this August and be part of the movement.
